It is really cold outside today and we are all home together!

J and I decided to make some mini brownies:

breakfast on the island

The twins were apparently really hungry this morning. They pulled out a box of cereal, opened it, and dumped it on the kitchen floor (as I was helping J get ready for school). I found them eating the cereal off the floor when I came downstairs.




I went to Nokomis this weekend to do some painting in mom and dad's new house. There are a lot of great thrift stores on the way downstate, and I picked up some great new barstools for our kitchen island. They are solid oak, have an upholstered seat, and swivel! The kids like them as much as I do, and the twins wanted to sit in them for breakfast this morning (after their kitchen floor snack).









B was starving, so he finished his bowl,




then slid over to C's seat and finished his breakfast.

Just a few updates of playtime.


Typically super-hero and Transformer fights break out. This time, however, we were in a galaxy far, far away.......

I bought a new chair this past weekend and it was packaged in a big box. Once I unpacked the chair, I knew the kids would have a ton of fun making that box into a playhouse. They colored it, decorated it, I cut out a door and windows, and they filled it with pillows and blankets. Here are a few pics of the fun:

Being silly

Okay - I am officially a slacker. It seems like we have been busy lately. My mom and sister were in this past weekend to babysit while Chris and I were both working. And with school, therapy, keeping up with the house and the kids, and going to work - things are crazy! I did get a couple of pictures taken...
