Long overdue...

Okay. I know I have not posted anything since Halloween - I have been busy with my other blog and have been neglecting this one.

I have a ton of pictures, and here are a few:

How about my new banner? I am learning PICASA and some html code. Next up, photoshop!

I promise I will remain on the ball from now on.

Halloween festivities

We had a great Halloween this year!!

J and B cleaning out a pumpkin.

C joined in a little later.

Chris carving his Hulk pumpkin.

J hard at work coloring his pumpkin.

J was a spooky skeleton.

Trick or treating at our house.

Our little Superman.

C really had fun "flying" around the house in his Batman costume.

Trick or treating

B looking into the candy pot.

WOW that's a lot of candy!!

The twins only lasted about 30 minutes trick or treating - it was in the low 40's outside and very windy. J was on a mission to fill up his bag with candy, so he and I stayed out for about 2 hours! Toward the end I said, "J, we need to go home because no more candy will fit in your bag". His reply? "That's okay mommy. They can put the candy in my hands!". Good point.

We were all warm and cozy back in the house by 7pm.

8pm - J - "Mommy, I'm sad."
"Why?"
"Because I have to wait a whole year before it is Halloween again."

fall day inside

It is really cold outside today and we are all home together!

J and I decided to make some mini brownies:

J loves decorating with sprinkles:

Ahhh - masterpiece!!!

While we were baking B was reading,

and C was just being silly .

All in all, a great day!!

breakfast on the island

The twins were apparently really hungry this morning. They pulled out a box of cereal, opened it, and dumped it on the kitchen floor (as I was helping J get ready for school). I found them eating the cereal off the floor when I came downstairs.

I went to Nokomis this weekend to do some painting in mom and dad's new house. There are a lot of great thrift stores on the way downstate, and I picked up some great new barstools for our kitchen island. They are solid oak, have an upholstered seat, and swivel! The kids like them as much as I do, and the twins wanted to sit in them for breakfast this morning (after their kitchen floor snack).

B was starving, so he finished his bowl,

then slid over to C's seat and finished his breakfast.

Havin' fun

Just a few updates of playtime.

Typically super-hero and Transformer fights break out. This time, however, we were in a galaxy far, far away.......

Chris loves this stuff.

My sweetie-pie

How many puzzles does he have to work on at once? Apparently at least 3.

box-house

I bought a new chair this past weekend and it was packaged in a big box. Once I unpacked the chair, I knew the kids would have a ton of fun making that box into a playhouse. They colored it, decorated it, I cut out a door and windows, and they filled it with pillows and blankets. Here are a few pics of the fun:
